Dice Roller is a dice-rolling app for iPhone and Apple Watch, published by Karya Boyraz. It does not require an account. This policy explains what data the app processes.
Your dice roll history and settings are stored locally on your device and are never sent to our server.
Dice Roller uses the device's motion sensors solely to detect shake gestures for rolling dice. Motion data is processed on-device in real time and is never stored or transmitted.
To understand how the iPhone app is used and improve it, the app sends anonymous usage events to our own server (hosted on Cloudflare): when a session starts and ends, its duration, and the names of screens or features used. Each event is tied only to a random identifier created when the app is installed, plus the app version and device language. The country is derived from the connection on the server; IP addresses are not stored.
No name, email, Apple ID, advertising identifier or other personal information is sent. This data is not linked to your identity, not used for advertising or tracking, and never sold or shared. Deleting the app deletes the random identifier. Statistics are kept for at most 24 months. The Apple Watch app sends no statistics.
The free iPhone app shows banner ads from Google AdMob until you purchase Remove Ads. AdMob may process device identifiers, approximate location and ad interaction data to serve and measure ads. Where required (e.g. EEA/UK), you are asked for consent first and can change it in Settings. Your advertising identifier (IDFA) is used only if you allow it in the iOS tracking prompt; otherwise ads are non-personalized. See Google's advertising policy.
Purchases are processed by the Apple App Store. Payment details are handled solely by Apple; we never see payment or identity information.
Dice Roller is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.
If we update this policy, the changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
