Receipt Vault is built by Karya Boyraz. The fastest way to reach a human is email — usually within 24 hours.
Entirely on your device, in Apple's SwiftData store. Nothing is uploaded to any server. If you delete the app, everything goes with it. See the Privacy Policy for details.
Make sure you granted Camera permission. Go to iOS Settings → Receipt Vault → Camera and enable it. Scanning works best in even, bright light with the receipt flat against a plain background.
Open the app → Account tab → Restore Purchase. As long as you're signed into the same Apple ID that originally purchased Pro, the entitlement comes back instantly. Family Sharing is enabled, so family members can also use Pro on their own devices at no extra cost.
Pro tier ($4.99) is single-device. The Pro + Cloud tier ($9.99) is being rolled out in a future update and will enable iCloud sync across all your Apple devices using your own iCloud private database.
That was a 1.0 pre-release bug — fixed at launch. The dot is now amber/gold and clearly visible.
Yes, with Pro. PDF and CSV export are included in both Pro tiers. Export is on the roadmap for v1.1 — if you bought Pro and need export sooner, email us.
Refunds for in-app purchases are handled by Apple, not the developer. Submit a request at reportaproblem.apple.com with your transaction details.
Absolutely — feedback shapes the roadmap. Email us with the use case, and if it fits the privacy-first, local-only mission, it goes in the queue.
iOS 18.0 and later. Receipt Vault uses SwiftData and the modern Vision OCR API, so older iOS versions are not supported.
