PDF Sign Pro — Privacy Policy

PDF Sign Pro ("the app") is developed and operated by Karya Boyraz as an independent iOS application. This Privacy Policy explains what data the app handles, where it stays, and what choices you have.

TL;DR

PDF Sign Pro is a 100% offline e-signature app. We do not run a backend server. We do not collect, transmit, or share your documents or signatures. Everything you sign stays on your device, period. The only data that leaves your device is anonymous usage statistics (see below).

What the app stores on your device

• Documents — PDF files you import or open, kept inside the app's sandbox.
• Signatures & annotations — the signature, initials, stamps, and form text you draw or type onto a document.
• Audit trail — a local SHA-256 hash chain recording when each signing action happened, so you can verify a document was not altered. This stays on your device.
• App preferences — language and display settings.
• Pro entitlement — whether you purchased PDF Sign Pro.

All of the above is stored locally on your device. The app does not sync to iCloud or any other cloud service. Signing is performed entirely on-device using Apple's PencilKit and PDFKit frameworks. We have no access to it. If you back up your device to iCloud or a computer, that backup is handled by Apple and includes the app's data.

What we do not collect

• No document content, signatures, file names or crash reports leaving your device.
• No third-party SDKs (no Firebase, no Sentry, no advertising networks).
• No advertising identifiers (IDFA). PDF Sign Pro does not show ads.
• No tracking across apps or websites.
• No account creation — PDF Sign Pro has no login and no cloud upload of your documents to us.

Anonymous usage statistics

To understand how the app is used and improve it, the app sends anonymous usage events to our own server (hosted on Cloudflare): when a session starts and ends, its duration, and the names of screens or features used. Each event is tied only to a random identifier created when the app is installed, plus the app version and device language. The country is derived from the connection on the server; IP addresses are not stored. No document, signature, name, email or other personal information is ever included. This data is not linked to your identity, not used for advertising or tracking, never sold or shared, and kept for at most 24 months. Deleting the app deletes the random identifier.

Purchases

In-app purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We never see or store your payment details. Apple provides us only with anonymous purchase confirmation needed to unlock Pro features.

Children's privacy

PDF Sign Pro is a productivity tool intended for general audiences and does not knowingly collect any data from children.

Your rights

Because all data lives on your device, you are in full control. Deleting the app removes all of its local data. The only data on our side is the anonymous usage statistics described above, which cannot be linked back to you.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new "Last updated" date.
